Mihan Logistics leverages its robust global network and deep expertise and extensive local presence in South America to provide comprehensive, efficient, compliant, and highly resilient logistics solutions from China to Brazil. As South America's largest economy and consumer market, Brazil possesses a unique customs system, complex tax regulations, and an extensive inland logistics network. With our deep operational experience at the Port of Santos and Port of Vila do Conde, and local networks covering all major state capitals, we ensure your supply chain overcomes regional challenges to efficiently penetrate this dynamic market full of opportunities.
Contact UsProfessional Capability to Navigate Complex Port Procedures: As one of South America's busiest ports, the Port of Santos has complex operational and clearance processes. Our local team handles demurrage fee negotiations, customs inspection coordination, and document pre-verification to minimize delays and extra costs.
Nationwide Customs Clearance & Inland Transport in Brazil: We manage not only port clearance but also, through our partner agent network, complete customs clearance at Inland Customs locations like São Paulo, Curitiba, and Porto Alegre. We then combine trucking or rail to deliver goods to inland cities like Brasília, Belo Horizonte, and Manaus.
LCL & Bonded Warehouse Services: Provides professional LCL deconsolidation services in the Santos and São Paulo areas and assists clients in utilizing Bonded Warehouses (ECD - Entreposto Aduaneiro) to store goods and defer import tax payments.

Brazil has one of the world's most complex and stringent customs and tax systems. Compliance is the only path to success.
Mandatory Import License & Prior Certifications:Almost all shipments require an Import License via SISCOMEX. High-risk products (medical devices, pharma, cosmetics, toys, electronics, auto parts) must obtain prior ANVISA or INMETRO registration/authorization.
Multi-Layered Tax Burden on CIF Value:Taxes include Import Duty (II), IPI (federal industrial tax), ICMS (state VAT, 17–19%), and PIS/COFINS (social contributions). All are calculated on the CIF value, making the tax base a major cost driver.
Strict CIF Valuation & Price Scrutiny:Customs enforces rigorous invoice verification. Any discrepancy or suspected under-pricing may trigger a formal price investigation procedure.
Legalized Documents & Local Representation:Commercial invoices, packing lists, and B/L must be fully consistent; certain documents require consular legalization or apostille. Importers need a valid Brazilian CNPJ, and non-residents must appoint a local legal representative.
